Choose An Attitude of Gratitude

Have you ever had one of those days that start off bad and just get worse? I am sure we have all had those kinds of days. Yet, there is a way to create your day so that it begins great and just gets better.

I know you are asking, “How?”

The answer: Gratitude.

Seems simple and it is; but so few people indulge in an attitude of gratitude. Don’t believe me, just sit in a traffic jam and listen to the colorful language!

Begin your day with an attitude of gratitude. The fact that you woke up is enough to be grateful for. I mean, think of the alternative! Remember, it's all about your mindset.

So, just for today, begin your day with an attitude of gratitude. Be thankful!

Stop Being Stressed, Start Being Blessed!

So often I hear women say, “I am so stressed!” well, my admonition is to stop being stressed and start being blessed!

Any situation that seems stressful simply means that you have left the present moment, slipped into the past or into the future where you don’t have access to your normal coping strategies. There is no strategy to cope in the past because it is gone; there is no strategy to cope in the future because it has not yet arrived. The only time in which you are truly able to cope is right now in the present moment because this is the only moment you have.

In the present moment, you can tap into your attitude of gratitude. STOP, TAKE A BREATH, and ASK: “What do I have to be grateful for in my life right now?

Feel into that and deeply appreciate the feeling. That you are here right now, above ground, is something to be truly grateful for. The mere fact that you are able to stop, breathe and ask must also be seen as a blessing. There are so many blessings in your life, but you must choose to stop being so stressed to recognize that you are so blessed!

Be Grateful On Purpose

I wish all of my U.S. readers a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving Day!

I wish all of my readers a continuous attitude of gratitude.

We must not wait until special occasions or holidays to truly appreciate everyone and everything in life. The tendency to wait until it is too late must be the exception and not the norm.

I blog because I love to impart knowledge and empower people with the simplest ways to take that knowledge and make their lives better and brighter. Without you, there would be no need. I am grateful to all of you who keep me doing what I absolutely love to do.

Remember that every moment is a gift and you have the power to choose how you will use that gift. Choose wisely!

Being Grateful on Purpose

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” ~ Albert Schweitzer

Living with passion and purpose means living with an attitude of gratitude. When you are grateful for your present light, it becomes brighter. When you are grateful for the things you do have, more will come into your life.

Take a moment to think of five things you are grateful for. Write them in your day planner on this day. Then smile for those five things. Your day will become a little sweeter for having taken the time to love.

Live in the spirit of loving gratitude,
Coach Carolyn
