"Everybody talks about wanting to change things and help and fix, but ultimately all you can do is fix yourself. And that's a lot. Because if you can fix yourself, it has a ripple effect." ~ Rob Reiner
This is so cool and so true!
Have you ever noticed that when you share your issues with someone, they immediately want to try and “fix” you? As if you are broken and need fixin’!
It is when you are going through something – some issue, some crisis – that you need to just be with it and allow the lessons and blessings to evolve.
So, just as you don’t need fixin’, neither does anyone else. Allow them to walk through their pain because they will never learn the lessons they need to learn. And if you don’t learn the lesson this go-round, you have to take the test again until you do learn the lesson.
So, just for today, quit fixin’ other people and fix yourself!

My mister and I were speaking about this this morning. I said "I don't want to fix you" and he said "I don't want to fix you either." Man, if we were attracted to the person we love, why do we feel the need to fix them or mold and sculpt them into the shape and person we want them to be. It's so not worth putting the energy in. We get so much farther letting people be.
