Speaking Your Truth

"You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage - pleasantly, smilingly, nonapologetically - to say 'no' to other things. And the way you do that is by having a bigger 'yes' burning inside." ~ Stephen Covey

One of ways to manifest inner peace is to let your YES mean YES and let your NO mean NO. We tend to get wishy-washy when it comes to speaking our truth. We don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Well, it’s not about hurting anyone’s feelings; it’s about making sure you are not hurting in the end. When you can do the truth in love, no one gets hurt.

Remember, NO is a complete sentence. Why do we feel we have to explain, justify, or convince someone of our truth? If it is our truth, then our truth should be enough.

Just for today, make a mental note of what you say to others. Are you saying it to please or to empower?
